20 Years, 20 Ways to Give Back: Wreaths Across America

On December 12, 2015 we joined thousands of other volunteers and Wreaths Across America on a beautiful morning for the annual wreath laying at Arlington National Cemetery. For some in our group, it was their first time visiting Arlington National Cemetery and it was a memorable experience. The day began with an opening ceremony and a presidential helicopter flyover, we then headed out to do our part in helping to place wreaths on the 230,000 grave stones to honor our fallen veterans.

Wreaths Across America aims to remember the fallen, honor those who served, and teach our children through their annual wreath laying ceremony each December. To learn more about Wreaths Across America, please visit their website.

This was the final volunteer activity for LMO's “20 Years, 20 Ways to Give Back” initiative which was started at the beginning of 2015 as a way to say thank you to our community by sharing our talents and time.
